Video: Martell Webster’s All-Time Stupid Play During Wolves vs. Nuggets

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Martell Webster made the boneheaded basketball move of the week on Monday night when he passed up a potential game-tying shot for a meaningless last second slam dunk.

With his team down 102-99 to the Denver Nuggets, Webster stole an in-bounds pass and took off down court for what most assumed would be a last-ditch effort at a game-tying three. Only Webster, apparently, didn’t realize that dunks are worth two points in basketball. Rather than pulling up and shooting from behind the arc, he took it in and got an easy two points that left his team still down by one.

It was just as hilarious as it sounds.

"If I had to do it over again, yeah, I'd probably pull up for a jump shot," Webster said after the game.

Probably?
