Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Barcelona was designed by designer Patricia Urquiola. Located in a building built in the mid-20th century, the hotel is the epitome of modern design. The project reflects the cosmopolitan character of the city, while retaining the overall concept of the inherent hotel chain Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
The most spectacular element in the design of the hotel was a rectangular metal mesh, transformed into “hanging garden” over the tables in the restaurant. Patricia defeated in the design of the historical fact that the building was once located bank: Bankers Bar at the bar safe deposit boxes used to decorate the walls. Almost all the furniture was specially designed according to the interior of each room.
