Video: Lakers’ Metta World Peace Makes Dumbest Pass in NBA History

It’s tough to screw up when your team owns a two-point lead, has possession of the ball and there is only one second remaining in the game. Where there is a guy named Metta World Peace, though, there is a way.

During Monday night’s showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Hornets, the Lakers’ enigmatic forward (who inspired about half of the DSM) threw a random, totally unnecessary long-distance pass that has already (within 12 hours of it happening) been described by multiple parties as the “dumbest” play they have ever seen.

If you think that’s an exaggeration, check it out for yourselves:

As remarkably awful as that pass was, it’s probably not even the dumbest decision World Peace has made in the last 24 hours.
