Athletes venturing into the wonderful world of music is nothing new. Basketball players, in particular, seem to have a special affinity for embarrassing themselves in that regard.
Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Kevin Durant, Shaquille O‘Neal, Tony Parker and many more NBA big name superstars have all appeared on at least a single hip hop track at one point or another. The common denominator in each instance? The final result was terrible.
On Thursday, Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol joined the ranks of all of the superstars mentioned above, with two minor differences: 1.) he wasn’t rapping and 2.) he did what he did for charity.
