Engineer Jonathan Corbett, who runs the blog TSA Out of Our Pants, explained on a video (below) how he snuck a small metal case through the Transportation and Security Administration’s (TSA) billion dollar fleet of body scanners in two different airports.
Corbet said the problem is how the TSA scanner uses dark colors to highlight threats: “Again that’s light figure, black background, and black threat items. Yes that’s right, if you have a metallic object on your side, it will be the same color as the background and therefore completely invisible to both visual and automated inspection.”
“Now, I’m sure the TSA will accuse me of aiding the terrorists by releasing this video, but it’s beyond belief that the terrorists haven’t already figured this out and are already plotting to use this against us. The TSA is worse than ineffective: they are an epic fail placing us all in danger. … We must all stand together and demand an end to the organization that molests our families while placing us in danger by directly ignoring blatant security flaws.”
I already posted the realities of dealing with terrorists attacking our airplanes, either through hijacking or blowing them up, on the article about the mom who was given a hard time for her baby bottles.
I will sum it up again, here.
If a terrorist really wants to do something, he can do what they did for the Achille Lauro Hijackers; hide the weapons in a predetermined location on the plane for them to collect when they were ready.
This is not news, nor is it classified information...it is just not commonly known, except for those that have been involved in the war on terrorism back in the 70's and 80's.
Those who surrender essential liberties for temporary security deserve neither and lose both. - Benjamin Franklin
The Terminally Stupid Administration is there for one purpose, to make Americans accustomed to the idea that they no longer live in a free country but in a totalitarian police state. They have done nothing to make anyone safer. Their entire purpose can be summed up in this quote:
"Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine policy. It is always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it is a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."

If freedom means anything, it is the liberty to tell others what they do not want to hear.
Don't need it cause I ain't going thru their crap machines.
Ok first the TSA lies about the scanners being able to ‘inverse’ a scan to make it more ‘lifelike’.
Then they lie about the scanners being able to save an image, but try to excuse it by saying that it can ONLY do it in “test mode” and that none will actually be saved.
Then people find out it has a high speed interface to transfer saved images, and after that a story breaks that at least THOUSANDS of scans have been saved, after the TSA assures us that that won’t happen. (http://news.cnet.com/8301-31921_3-20012583-281.html)
(I have to wonder how many “inversed” images were saved.)
And if the machines are supposed to be used for what they say they are:
1 WHY would the scanner even be able to ‘inverse’ an image??
2 WHY would the scanner even be able to save an image?
3 WHY would the scanner have a high spend interface to be able to transmit images? (And no doubt cost more money for these options!)
4 WHY the heck are they SAVING THOUSANDS of images, (OR even more), even after they said they wouldn’t?
NOW they want people to believe that the scanners pose NO RISK, (even to pregnant women, or older people, or people exposed to them again & again like the pilots & crew?).
When someone lies to you again & again, do you REALLY trust ANYTHING they say??
