Like Simon Pegg and the rest of our generation we’ve long since accepted that Star Wars has been ruined for us by the man who created it. But we still felt a flickering in our hearts at the thought of getting A New Hope, Empire and Jedi on Blu-ray, even with the horrible bits George added and changed in 1997.
But the awful reality is that Lucas has gone back on his word when he explained his dumb-ass decisions back then: (“A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version”) and added a whole load of other stupid crap, the most heinous of which is Darth Vader shouting: “Nooooo!” as he stops the Emperor from killing Luke.
