Report: Julie Chen Fired Co-Host Holly Robinson Peete From The Talk

Holly Robinson Peete has been officially fired from the CBS talk show 'The Talk.' The New York Post reports that co-host Julie Chen was the one who gave Peete the pink slip. The axing comes days after Leah Remini was also fired. Special correspondent Marissa Jaret Winokur was let go in January.

According to reports, Chen has threatened her co-hosts that her network president husband, Les Moonves, could fire them: "My husband Les Moonves can fire your a**** any day."

Peete wrote in her blog today about the dismissal: "After weeks in limbo, I was finally 'officially' given word from CBS today that I have not been picked up for the 2nd season of 'The Talk.' I realize there have been several reports and 'leaks' for sometime to this effect but until today I was not contractually released which prevented me from moving on and finding other work."

She added: "While I am relieved to have this closure, it doesn't diminish my disappointment one bit about not continuing with a show I worked very hard to launch and love dearly. But I've been around long enough to know that while you cannot control certain situations you can control how you respond to them."

Peete concluded: "Thank you to CBS for a tremendous opportunity to realize a long held dream of mine to host a daytime talk show. I learned so much and will cherish and build upon my experience. Best of all I made some friends for life."

Remini broke her silence about her firing on Twitter: "It’s official: I am sorry to say that I have NOT been asked back on the show."

There was no direct reasoning for the dismissals, but according to Deadline.com: "It’s the Les Moonves show starring his annoying wife," an insider said.

I no longer watch The Talk. The mix of personalities during the first season was great! Holly is a very intelligent woman, Leah a very funny woman, Sarah a quiet woman, Sharon a very outspoken & outrageous woman, and Julie - well, Julie is a very "closeted" person. She's really more of a moderator than a major contributor to the show. The show had a format - MOMs. Now they've got this HSN impersonator - Sheryl Underwood - who isn't married and doesn't have kids; and who the hell wants to hear more about those Kardashians???? NOT ME! I don't want to hear about spoiled rich people & their excessive lives. NO KARDASHIANS, HILTONS, GOTTIS, ETC.! Anyway, the new show sucks the big one - it no longer has a focus, it no longer has a cast that complements one another, it no longer has that certain "something" that made it work. So I don't watch anymore, and I know personally of at least 42 other people that don't, either. I'll be surprised if the show lasts for another season. I guess this is what happens when one evil queen who wants to be "the prettiest, smartest, most talented one of all" feels threatened by anyone smarter, funnier, prettier or more talented than she - she gets rid of them. Sharon Osborne I find to be two-faced and don't trust her. Sara is too dull and quiet to even be interesting. Julie Chen never was interesting, and the other two just don't fit. Stupid is as stupid does. One thing Julie Chen can't do is buy viewers.

The Talk was much better ehen Holly and Leah were on, please get rid of Alisha Taylor ( spelling ) she is soooo annoying in everything she says and her body language is also. Julie Chen needs to quit taking herself so seriously, she isn't that great!!!!!! She is actually very annoying also.

They are typical "celebrities" in that they think they are actually "important", make s you laugh !

My husband and I loved to watch the show and did not want to miss a day.Now we don't watch.we turn the TV when it is time for it to come on. The ones they picked to replace Holly and Leah are stupid in our opinion. We still love Ms. O and thought Julie was great but since changed our minds about Juli.Hope your ratings go so far down the show has to be taken off the air. Hope Leah and Holly start their own show then we will watch again. Oh by the way, we know why she didn't kick Sara off....and she knew better than to let Mrs. O go ---she is the life of the show now.

Mutual funds software can be roughly divided into two areas.
It can be a simple application that discovers assets attached to your network and creates an inventory of all these assets.
Then there are applications that are part of a complete IT lifecycle management suite that address client, asset, and server management needs.

I started watching the show when it first aired.I liked Holly and Leah around the table. They both brought laughter and energy to the table. I don't watch it as much now since they have been replaced. I can not stand the one that is always soooo loud and soooo upnoxious. She is a turn off to me as far as watching the show. I agree with others about Mrs. O ought to be in charge. She is the life of the table. She is so full of life and energy. I love her. now Melissa on the other hand seems like she is so scared to speak at times and that is really suprising after watching her on Roseanne and her being so out spoken about everything.

I'll start watching the talk when julie is gone she has no talent to be on a talk show sharon should be in charge somebody should fire chens a**

I'm so sorry that Leah and Holly will not be on the show no longer. I cant stand that phony Julie Chen, I will not be watching "The Talk" anymore!
