Maryland Recruit Stefon Diggs: Get Off Jeremy Lin Egg Roll and Dumplings

There are a lot of ways for young, promising football recruits to endear themselves to the universities they’ll soon be attending. What Maryland recruit Stefon Diggs did recently, however, was not one of those things.

In arguably the most outrageous Jeremy Lin-related tweet, comment or description we’ve seen from anyone thus far, here is what the Good Counsel (Md.) School product had to say on Twitter recently (via Yahoo! Sports via Larry Brown Sports):

While there was definitely room for a healthy debate when Floyd Mayweather Jr. sent out his tweet regarding Linsanity, it’s probably safe to say that nobody is going to argue about the racist nature of Diggs’ comment. Sure, he’s still a kid – but wow.

It is worth noting, though, that the AAJA didn’t list any references to egg rolls and dumplings as no-nos when describing Lin. Maybe that’s why Diggs didn’t know what he was saying was inappropriate.

(Kudos to Yahoo! Sports for the find)
