In fact, Gaga recently spoke openly to Jay Leno about her love and admiration for the eighties idol:
"There is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me. I am the hugest fan personally and professionally."
But Madonna's tired of all this nonsense. Tired of Gaga's thinly veiled attempts to retread her own footsteps. Tired of having to watch as a fellow Italian-American steals food out of kidnap victim David Banda's mouth. But most of all, she's tired of not having come up with some of Gaga's more deranged ideas herself back in the day. Madonna in an egg? That would have kept her going through most of the nineties.
Which is why she's finally spoken out, explaining to Le Soir magazine how she really sees Lady Gaga:
"As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment on her obsessions related to me, because I do not know if it is based on something profound or superficial."
Of course as soon as this comment surfaced Madonna's publicist denied all knowledge of its existence, along with that of Le Soir magazine, Lady Gaga and dyslexia. But we all know the truth. She definitely, probably, possibly said it, whatever it means.
