Why Were These 90s Boy Band Rejects Sitting on the Dallas Mavs Bench Yesterday?

This past summer the Dallas Mavericks went out of their way to sign talent that hasn’t been relevant in years. They let integral parts of their championship squad like Tyson Chandler, DeShawn Stevenson, and J.J. Barea walk for nada – only to replace them with the likes of Vince Carter and Delonte West. But Dallas’ mission to fill out their bench with big names from before Ricky Rubio was born didn’t end with those signings.

Yesterday, these ‘90s era boy band rejects were spotted drinking beer on the Mavs’ bench during the squad’s eventual win against the Detroit Pistons:

Shame they stopped taking care of themselves when N’Sync broke up. Here’s video of the Funky Bunch making Carter and West uncomfortable:

Moral of the story: you can be homeless and still afford courtside seats to a Pistons game, apparently.
