Weird: Knicks Jeremy Lin, Broncos Tim Tebow Did Exact Same Thing in Their 5th Starts

God doesn’t have an offseason, apparently.

After giving us the mythical wonder that we now recognize as Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, He has blessed with another legend-in-the-making in New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin.

Already, the comparisons between the two are coming droves. Both started out as underdogs and eventually became the hottest athletes in their respective sports. Both irritate their sports’ purists who complain about Tebow’s awful mechanics and Lin’s turnover-prone nature. Both defy certain stereotypes and preexisting ideas that folks have about what people should look or behave like. And of course, both were wholeheartedly embraced by ESPN to the point where you can’t flick the channel on without hearing something Tebow or Lin-related.

But that’s not all. As noted by the good folks working on SportsCenter (via The Big Lead), Tebow and Lin also had identical fifth starts to their respective careers. How identical? Check it out:

Yup, both went 9-of-20 and scored the game-winners in the fifth starts of their careers. Is that crazy or is that crazy?

(Kudos to The Big Lead for the find)
