At the end of the Nashville Predators’ 3-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings Wednesday night, the winning side’s captain inexplicably made himself a prime candidate for a suspension from the NHL.
The completely unnecessary move by Shea Weber came in response to Henrik Zetterberg checking him into the boards as the outing came to a close. While Zetterberg’s hit was mildly questionable, the fact that Weber grabbing his head and slamming it into the glass twice wasn’t the right response is pretty obvious.
Now, the NHL must decide if Weber’s actions are suspension-worthy. Do you think they were?
