Video: North Carolina’s Kendall Marshall Breaks Wrist vs. Creighton

He didn’t have the most eye-popping stats on a squad full of future NBA lottery picks, but point guard Kendall Marshall was the piece that made the 2012 North Carolina basketball team run the way it was supposed to run.

This weekend, during a second round (third round?) game versus Creighton, Marshall got sent to the floor hard by Ethan Wragge.

End result: broken non-shooting wrist.

Per Jeff Goodman, Marshall will have surgery to insert a screw into that wrist on Monday.

Check out the play that Marshall got hurt on in the video below.

North Carolina, even without Marshall, is the second most talented team in the tournament. That being said, this injury is a massive blow to their championship hopes – any which way you want to look at it.
