The “Real Housewives of New York City” is returning for a whole new season with three new cast members!
The cast was the target of a huge shake up this season in order to keep the show fresh and new.
This season Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer will be the only cast members returning from last season meaning that Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop got the axe.
The new housewives this season will be Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson.
Aviva Drescher is the cousin of “The Nanny” star Fran Drescher and also the first one-legged housewife. She lost her leg in a farming accident as a child.
Carole Radziwill is a Glamour magazine contributor and the widow if Prince Anthony Radziwill, the only son of Lee Radziwill who is Jackie Kennedy Onassis’ younger sister.
Lastly, Heather Thomson is the creator of Yummie which is a successful line of shape wear. She has also been the stylist of Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Wow that was a lot of name dropping.
This season promises lots of cattiness, drunken nights out and drama… lots and lots of drama.
These ladies are all hot messes and that’s ratings gold! It’s unfortunate though that they had to cut so many housewives this time around.
But, oh well season five begins Monday, June 4 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
