Video: Marian Hossa Gets Destroyed by Raffie Torres During Coyotes vs. Blackhawks

Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher and hospitalized on Tuesday night, following a brutal hit from Raffi Torres of the Phoenix Coyotes. The incident occurred during the first period of the pair’s Game 3 showdown, and it was just the latest violent late hit in what has been a long line of them throughout this year’s NHL Playoffs.

Hossa lay on the ice for about five minutes before medical personnel got him into the locker room. He was hospitalized and eventually released (which is a good sign), according to ESPN.

As of this moment, there is no timetable for his return.

The Coyotes lead this series, 2-1.
