Video: Magic Johnson, Larry Bird Appear on David Letterman’s Show

Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, two of the greatest NBA players of all time, appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman’s this past Wednesday night. While the official reason for the pair making the late night rounds was to promote Magic/Bird -- a show on Broadway based on their infamous rivalry -- they actually wound up talking about a lot more than just that.

Whenever these two get together it’s magic (no pun intended), so the fact that they killed in their segment should come as no surprise to anyone. The best part of the entire interview, though, was undoubtedly the fan boy look Letterman had on his face throughout. Even though the guy stares down celebrities for a living on a nightly basis, seeing two childhood sports heroes was something special enough to give Letterman pause.
