Video: Luke Ridnour Hits Clutch Game-Winner, Leads Wolves Past Jazz

With the score knotted at 98 and only seconds remaining in the game, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz each had one single objective they were focused on. For the Wolves it was getting a bucket, any bucket, and avoiding overtime. For the Jazz it was making a defensive stop (something they hadn’t done for the duration of the fourth quarter) and making sure that the game did go into overtime.

As it turns out, getting a stop proved just as difficult for the Jazz in the last minute as it had for the prior 11. While Utah players stood there scratching their heads wondering where their 16-point lead went, Minnesota guard Luke Ridnour zipped through the lane with confidence, tossed up a floater, and watched it softly swish through the net as the clock expired.

Game over.
