Video: Louis Oosthuizen’s Ridiculous Double Eagle at 2012 Masters

Coming into this year’s Masters, all of the talk largely centered around golf’s heavyweights – Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson. Heading into Sunday’s action, two of those names had been plucked out of the discussion and conversation turned to whether or not Phil Mickelson could make himself the main storyline coming out of golf’s biggest event.

He couldn’t.

Instead, next week’s conversation will undoubtedly be dominated by a lesser known player that nobody saw coming. One possible candidate: Louis Oosthuizen.

In a shot that wowed even the most hard-to-please golf fans, Oosthuizen hit a beauty on the par-5 second hole with the first ever eagle on No. 2. It was also only the fourth double-eagle in Masters history.
