Video: Kentucky Fans Riot After National Championship Game; One Man Shot

The Kentucky Wildcats beat the Kansas Jayhawks in a 67-59 thriller on Monday night. The game wound up being particularly entertaining in the second half when Kansas seemed to be on the verge of an epic comeback, and you would figure that because of how close it was at certain ponts, fans of both teams would have been glued to their seats throughout.

But they weren’t.

No, before the final buzzer even sounded, Kentucky fans were off to the races, doing their very best to beat out the other violent, stupid rioters that they knew were coming sooner rather than later.

Here is a brief recap of what ensued after John Calipari’s bunch won the championship last night (via ABC): at least one shooting, a riot consisting of more than 15,000 people, more than 40 fires and tons of other stuff that will end up costing tax payers millions of dollars.

All this, of course, comes on the heels of this weekend’s equally ridiculous Final Four riot. You would think that Kentucky fans -- strange mood disorders and all -- would be used enough to winning (after a year where they only lost twice) to not burn down the state after each victory. Apparently not, though.
