Everyone sort of figured that New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow had a lot of influence over the really religious Christian football fans out there. Coming out of Easter Sunday, though, even his staunchest critics may have to acknowledge that his reach now extends past just the really religious types.
All in all, approximately 15,000 people showed up to Tebow’s Easter church service in Georgetown, Texas, this past Sunday, and the folks in attendance hung on to the polarizing quarterback’s words as if they were coming from God himself. As he talked about “Tebowing,” his faith and the publicizing of his religious beliefs, you could almost feel the crowd growing increasingly excited.
"First and foremost is what this country was based on: one nation under God. The more that we can get back to that," Tebow said to a massive applause (via CBS).

Part of the reason Tebow supposedly chose New York over Jacksonville when the Denver Broncos wanted to trade him is because he would have a bigger platform to preach from in the Big Apple. If Sunday’s event was any indication, though, Tebow doesn’t need a big platform – he can draw the masses regardless of where he is.
