The New York Knicks lost to the Chicago Bulls 105-99 on Monday – extending their losing streak to six games.
Both Carmelo Anthony (21 points on eight-of-21 shooting, plus eight rebounds) and Jeremy Lin (15 points and eight assists, with only three turnovers) had reasonably solid showings, but New York wound up getting absolutely destroyed on the glass by a scrappy Bulls team. Behind 13 boards from Taj Gibson and 10 from Joakim Noah, Chicago outrebounded the opposition 56-38.
Derrick Rose’s 32 points (on 12-of-29 shooting, no less) led the way for his Bulls squad. Carlos Boozer and Taj Gibson pitched in 15 points apiece.
Next up for the Knicks: a Wednesday showdown against the Portland Trail Blazers.
