Ask any New York City subway rider, and they'll tell you that their greatest fear is somehow winding up on the tracks with a train bearing down on them. Well, video has emerged of teens purposely jumping onto the tracks in an apparent game of "chicken" with the trains.
The New York Daily News reports the video shows teenagers at the Kingston Ave. station in Brooklyn, leaping into the tracks and then climbing out as the train's lights become visible in the tunnel.
“Playing on or near subway tracks is one of the most dangerous things anyone can do,” Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesman Charles Seaton said.
He also said the MTA will tell the police department about the video, if it isn't already aware of it.
