Timothy L. Forbes, 34, surrendered to authorities on Monday after allegedly attacking and biting off part of a Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) basketball coach’s ear.
According to The Republican, the incident occured last Friday while the kids involved (ranging in ages from 10 to 12) exchanged postgame handshakes. The same report also notes that kids who had been nearby were knocked to the ground and left crying as a result of the attack.
Forbes is presumed to have had some sort of ties to the losing side but, at this point, it's unclear what they were. KSDK says he was a father from the opposing team. NBC lists him as an opposing coach.The Republican refutes both claims.
After turning himself in Forbes pleaded not guilty to an assortment of charges, including: assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
He is currently being held without bail.
