Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant knows how to destroy any NBA player that makes the mistake of challenging him – and so does his ex-wife Vanessa, apparently.
The pair’s surely painful divorce proceedings have been public knowledge for months now, but what we didn’t know was precisely how much dough Kobe would have to part with. There was talk about him having to give up anywhere between $75 to $150 million, and now we finally (maybe) have the true total.
According to the good folks at TMZ, Vanessa will walk away with a very handsome package of $75 million and three Newport mansions. As per the report:

TMZ previously reported several transfers of property earlier this year between Kobe and Vanessa. It turns out, based on the property settlement, Vanessa scored a clean sweep, snagging ALL THREE of the former couple's mansions in the Newport Beach area.
As we reported on Opposing Views a few months ago, a lot of Vanessa’s success in the proceedings has to do with her wisely waiting 10 years to divorce her admitted cheater of a husband. He publicly conceded that he had cheated on her back in 2004. Then, in 2007, she reportedly considered divorcing him – even going so far as to discuss the process with an attorney.
Despite all of that, though, she never went through with it. Instead she waited until the 10-year mark was up, and then dropped the bomb. A 10-year marriage in California, of course, carries substantial weight because it indicates that it was a lengthy one. That more or less ensures that assets will be split down the middle.
So there you have it. Kobe may be leading the league in scoring this year with 30.4 per game, but Vanessa isn’t doing too bad herself.
