Supreme Court Justices to Vote Friday on Obamacare

After hearing three days of testimony this week, the Supreme Court justices are expected to vote on Friday on the Obamacare individual mandate. But the rest of us will not find out what goes on behind close doors until June, when the decision is expected to be announced. The Associated Press has details:

On a directly related note, president Obama publicly and directly addressed the Supreme Court. His remarks directly informed the justices that they should not nullify the health care law's mandate or any other provision of the law. His argument is that the law is, in his view( my words), constitutional and that nullification by the justices would be tantamount to judicial activism: [the]".."unelected" Supreme Court should not adopt an activist approach by making rather than interpreting law, and held up the health legislation as an example.."

A complete misrepresentation of not just the supreme court, but the role it plays in the structure and operation of the government. president Obama wants to receive respect for both himself and the position he holds; yet, he gives no respect for anyone else and will stoop to new lows to cajole and/or apply inappropriate influence to get his way.

Given what is at stake, essentially unlimited power and direct control over the entire population, I can see why. However, this is not why he was elected, nor is this what the citizenry want.

During questioning, the justices were exactly correct to note that upholding the mandate provision of the law would not just signify but establish a profound change between government and the citizenry.

A change which would give the government essentially unlimited power.
