The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the greatest franchises in sports history. Not football history, sports history. With six Super Bowl championships, 27 postseason appearances and 25 former players currently in the Hall of Fame (with more on the way), there is little doubt about the Steelers’ place in sports lore.
All of that being said, even the greats aren’t completely infallible.
As amazing as Pittsburgh may be on the football field, the team’s recent unveiling of their 80th anniversary throwback uniforms indicates that bad judgment ails everybody at one point or another.
