The world may have lost a feared and evil dictator, but we gained something worse – another known New York Yankees fan. As first noted by the good folks over at Uni Watch, the most eye-popping image to come out of Kim Jong-il’s pretend sad funeral proceedings was this photo of what appears to be a young, terribly ill-advised boy sporting a Yankees cap.
Because of how closed off North Korea has been from the rest of the world over the last few years it’s probably safe to say we don’t know everything there is to know about their culture over there. Still, based off this and Kim Jong-un’s suspected Los Angeles Lakers fandom, it’s safe to say that the people down there are some serious frontrunners. Let me guess, Kim Jong-un’s uncle (who is reportedly sharing power with the youngster, for now) is probably a Dallas Cowboys fan, right?
