New England Patriots Angry with Gisele Bundchen’s Defense of Tom Brady?

Super Bowl XLVI may be over and done with, but finger-pointing over who deserves blame for the New England Patriots’ loss appears to be just beginning. Interestingly enough, though, the people at the center of this controversy aren’t just the players who participated in the game – supermodel wives have also somehow gotten in on the action.

After the Super Bowl, in response to hecklers talking about how Eli Manning owns her husband, Gisele Bundchen (famous wife of quarterback Tom Brady) was caught by cameras complaining to friends that Brady’s teammates let him down. As she put it: “You [have] to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Well, as it turns out, Brady’s teammates apparently didn’t take too kindly to being called out by the breadwinner of the Brady family. As per the good folks at TMZ, a number of people within the New England locker room felt as though a "code of brotherhood" was broken when Bundchen said what she said.

Via TMZ:

“Sources tell TMZ, the teammates are ‘disappointed’ Gisele decided to air her grievances after the game last night… According to sources, Tom's teammates feel betrayed by Gisele's behavior -- the Pats organization is a brotherhood and Gisele's pot shot violated the code -- which is basically .. win as a team, lose as a team.

As one source put it, ‘It's like knocking someone when they are down.’”

While I don’t doubt that Wes Welker and the rest of his receiving group were probably a little peeved regarding Bundchen’s postgame commentary, I sincerely doubt they felt as though some sort of locker room code was broken. Wives (and all females) say whatever they want, when they want to. You don’t hold a husband accountable for what his better half said while she thought she was off camera.

This is a non-story in just about everyone possible way. However, given the fact that the NFL season is over and we have nothing better to focus on, expect 20 more stories on this ridiculous subject over the next three days.
