NBA Video: Jeremy Evans Destroyed Gerald Wallace During Jazz vs. Blazers

About an inch prevented Jazz forward Jeremy Evans from earning the “Best Preseason Dunk” award during Wednesday night’s showdown between Utah and Portland.

In the fourth quarter, a fumbling Josh Howard delivered an awkward pass to Evans in a play that basically looked to be beyond salvation. Portland’s Gerald Wallace, anticipating what was to come, seemingly blocked off the only avenue Evans had to make something, anything of the situation. Too bad he didn’t account for the hops. Without hesitation, Evans leapt in the air and absolutely destroyed Wallace with a monstrous jam.

Unfortunately the refs then called offensive foul on Evans thus nullifying the ridiculously impressive play.
