Eric Gordon found out that he was being traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the New Orleans Hornets while on a bus doing promotional activities for the Clippers. Needless to say, after being assured that he would be kept out of any package for Chris Paul, he was not happy about what ultimately ended up transpiring.
On Tuesday night, though, Gordon made it abundantly clear that he was starting to get very comfortable in his fresh New Orleans digs. With his team down by one and on the verge of going 0-1 to start the year, Gordon calmly caught the in-bounds pass and nailed a clutch game-winning jumper to put his squad up by one with four seconds remaining on the clock. The basket proved to be the difference-maker as the Hornets defeated the Phoenix Suns to go 1-0 on the season.
