NBA Trade Rumor: Lakers, Cavaliers Involved in Deal for Ramon Sessions, Draft Picks

It what very well might end up being the last significant move before the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers will finally make a trade that’s been whispered about for days.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, this deal entails L.A. getting Ramon Sessions in return for their 2012 first-round pick. Everyone seems to agree with that part of it.

The other parts of this transaction vary, depending on who you listen to.

Per Windhorst:

The Lakers will send the Cavs their 2012 first-round pick and will also get the rights to swap picks next year with the Miami Heat's first round draft pick, which the Cavs' own. The Lakers will absorb Sessions with the $8.9 million trade exception they received from the Dallas Mavericks for Lamar Odom. Sessions is averaging 10.5 points and 5.2 assists for the Cavs this season and fills a need for the Lakers, who have been on the lookout for a true point guard.

However, according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal, Luke Walton will also be headed to Cleveland as part of this deal.
