Manny Pacquiao Has a Love Child?

Manny Pacquiao is bulletproof in a lot of ways, but even he isn’t immune to startling accusations that could potentially take a bit of luster off of his otherwise sterling international appeal.

According to PhilBoxing.com Pacquiao is under heavy scrutiny these days, not just for his ongoing financial battles, but also for allegedly fathering a love child. As first reported by the tabloid publication Bulgar, Pacquiao attended the christening of his supposed 1-year-old love child last month. The publication even included photos of Pacquiao at the event, which took place in St. Francis de Assisi Church in Mandaluyong City back on September 17.

The child’s mother, Kat Ordonez, a 22-year-old Culinary Arts student, came out recently and publicly denied allegations that Pacquiao fathered her child. And, to both her and Pacquiao’s credit, there has been very little in the way of real evidence produced to confirm the idea that the child is in fact Pacquiao’s.

Manny’s wife, Jinkee, isn’t buying into the rumors either. When asked about Pacquiao’s extramarital activities back in September, she famously said that she would give away her expensive Hermes bag to anyone that could prove that her husband had recently cheated on her.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Pacquiao’s alleged philandering has hit the headlines. Back in 2006 he was sued by Joanna Rose Bacosa for violating Republic Act No. 9262, which protects women from abuse. She also sought out support for their purported love child. Then, there was the time Pacquiao admitted to an affair with a woman after a drunken escapade. And, of course, there have been countless rumors about the famed boxer messing around with various actresses and popular figures.

Amazingly, none of that has really impacted Pacquiao’s universally beloved status among fans and casual boxing followers. It’s a safe bet that barring actual proof that the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world has fathered a love child – that won’t change any time soon.

Pacquiao, of course, is set to take on Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
