Has Global Warming Been Disproved?

In a recent article for the UK's Telegraph, columnist Christopher Booker proposed that much of what is commonly believed about global warming may have been debunked by recent events. Booker points to record-setting snowfall in the Alps, plummeting temperatures around the world and failed predictions made by global warming proponents. You can read the full article here.

because nothing was "proven" in the first place.

The Earth experienced some asymmetric warming for a couple of decades, (which appears to have levelled off); the origin of this warming was mostly solar, and partly geothermal of origin.

This observation has incorrectly ascribed a "cause," namely carbon dioxide in the atmosphere - and a nonsensical "theory" about how this happened was developed.

In reality, the effect of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is, remains, and will continue to remain immeasurable - amidst the white noise of influences on the global climate. This is true because the "theory" of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has consequences that are not observed, and indeed, they cannot be observed because this “theory” isn't correct.

Humans have no more potential to alter the "global" climate any more than humans have the potential to alter the Earth's mass or orbit.

The idea of "man-made global warming" has simply become a religious dogma promulgated by those with interest in doing so, and accepted by those to whom the idea appeals. The idea has nothing to do with the climate.

That is the simple truth, and all the howling by alarmists won't change the facts. I personally believe the idea will become passe when enough people are fed up with it - which by all indications, appears to be happening rapidly (due in part to the weather and in part to an economy in tatters).
