In case you missed it, Courtney Love was claiming that Dave Grohl hit on her teenage daughter on Twitter, even insisting Dave was “sexually obsessed” with the late Kurt Cobain.
But, Frances Bean issued a statement about the crazy accusations made by her mother, saying, “While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn."
“I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother.”
Love made the allegations on her private Twitter account, claiming that she had information that the Foo Fighters frontman had “hit on Frances,” calling Dave “sexually obsessed” with Kurt Cobain.
Grohl denied the accusations in a statement of his own.
“Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue,” he stated.
But, Love didn’t back down, later telling the New York Daily News that she was “certainly not going to retract anything,” and attacked the use of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in “The Muppets” movie last year.
“Unfortunately, Dave is on another Kurt rant, by turning him into a Muppet and hitting on his daughter,” Love said.
Frances Bean is currently dating (reportedly even engaged) to the Rambles frontman Isaiah Silva.
Courtney lost custody of Frances when she was 17, when Cobain moved in with her paternal grandmother.
