Fox News Glenn Beck on Guns on Campus-Guns Save Lives

Glenn Beck interviews AZ state Senator Karen Johnson about forcing loaded handguns onto college campuses — Beck says emphatically “guns save lives”.

In response to Glenn Beck, watch ABC News "20/20" report "If I Only Had a Gun" that demolishes the myth that armed students Can stop an attack.

I notice that EVERY TIME the "shooter" enters the class room, he targets the "instructor" then immediately engages the ONE other person with a firearm in the room.
Yes, tactical training is important, but this scenerio was OBVIOUSLY stacked to support the anti-gun agenda of the ABC crew.
As for the reporter in the training scenario, also bogus: Untrained and presented with an aggressive shoot scenario.
This is utter hogwash of the lowest order - rates with propaganda by the same news org talking about " assault weapons " while showing video of machine guns being fired .
Lies, Damned Lies, and Main-Stream Media anyone?

In the simulated scenarios conducted by 20/20, the armed student was typically the first to third person attacked. It was a very one-sided display. It's true that your ability is determined by practice, since it's a perishable skill, but the report was skewed.

One sided is an under statement. They talk about how much training police have over the average citizen, then use police as the stand in shooter. How many bad guys have that level of training? Not to mention that in real life, with real bullets , I don't think a real bad guy would be able to shoot anyone in the head after a little blond cutie shot him in the crotch. Holy smokes! Don't turn your prisoners over to the women folk!

Putting everyone in over long t-shirts also strikes me as a set up. Would the outcome have been the same with a shoulder holster under a light jacket? I really don't think so. Plus, a real bad guy wouldn't know who to shoot first as in this made for TV, half baked farce. Plus, if guns were allowed on campus, is there any reason to assume only one person in a classroom would have a gun? Most days there probably wouldn't be any. There weren't any prohibitions when I was a kid, and I can't recall ever seeing any student with a gun at the time.

I also wonder why the students with guns didn't appear to know the guns were loaded with paint. Is that perhaps why the guy who was actually familiar with firearms didn't even attempt to shoot? Was he perhaps smart enough to check his weapon, thus knowing it was useless? I notice they didn't ask him about it afterward.

At the same time, some of the information was legitimate. Running away or hiding is a really good way to stay alive, even if you do have a gun.
