Cowardly: Floyd Mayweather Backtracks on Pacquiao PED Accusations

Floyd Mayweather Jr. makes it really tough to root for him sometimes.

By this point, everyone knows the story. Mayweather returned from a brief retirement to supposedly prove he is the best fighter in the world against Manny Pacquiao. Both men engaged in several tune-up matches as Mayweather worked to get back into tip-top shape, and a superlight between the pair appeared imminent.

Then the drama started.

Mayweather wanted one type of drug testing, but Pacquiao wouldn’t oblige. Then Pacquiao agreed, but Mayweather had moved on to demanding another form of drug testing. Money controversy, public and private battles, and defamation suits followed – and to date, we are no closer to an epic showdown between these men than we were one year ago.

This is all documented, established history.

Now, while doing press for his upcoming match against Victor Ortiz, Mayweather has attempted to re-write history - something that isn’t going over well with his fans and critics alike.

During his latest presser, Mayweather uttered the following:

“I’ve never said that Manny Pacquiao was taking steroids, I never said he was taking enhancement drugs,” said Mayweather.

“I want to fight the best they got out there, not just him, the best they got out there,” Mayweather said, “and if he’s on the list as one of the best guys, then absolutely.”

Right.

Countless online videos pestering Pacquiao to take the test, your fiancée and various relatives taking turns demanding that he take the test, and a defamation suit levied against you were all the result of your never-ending quest to purify the sport of boxing. Whatever you say, Floyd.

It’s amazing that a man who has spent this much time embarking on a very justifiable crusade against Pacquiao will not simply own up to it. Admit that you think Pacquiao is on PEDs and there’s no problem. Cower behind some ridiculous excuse – then you have a problem. Sure, maybe you never uttered the words “He’s on something,” but you’ve alluded to it more times than anyone cares to count.

The truth is, Pacquiao’s ridiculous initial excuses for not wanting to take the PED tests as Mayweather specified took a lot of people by surprise. First it was something about needles, then it was something about not giving in to Mayweather because of pride, and then it was some other nonsensical reason. It all felt very fabricated and very fake, so it was perfectly understandable that Mayweather didn’t want to risk his spotless record against a potentially dirty fighter.

But to not own up to that now, it’s simply cowardly.

“It’s not just Pacquiao, it’s sports, period,” Mayweather said. “If you look at sports in the Olympics, they’re cheating. Everyone is cheating. And I never once said Manny Pacquiao was cheating, only thing I said was this: Me and any other opponent I face must take the test.”

If nothing else, Mayweather definitely deserves credit for his extraordinary ability to open his mouth wide enough to fit his foot.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the type of fool that will say anything to save his ass and people still follow him like a bunch of mindless fools, I do hope that Ortiz can pull it off but I doubt that he has the experience or seasoning yet to fight either Pacquiao or Mayweather at the tender age of 24, which of course is exactly why Mayweather has 'cherry picked' this next young foe.

Ortiz does have talent but I really don't feel he's ready for the big time just yet and that is what Mayweather Jr. see's in him .. good luck Ortiz I'll be rooting for ya brave warrior!

It can't be said that this guy gaymayweather was in his right mind because of his 360 deg. turnaround same as his father!Like father, like son! Both with BIG MOUTH talking without THINKING!!!
That is how COWARD behaves, no definite direction wether to fight the WARRIOR Pacman or not!!He just want to collect dollars from his fans for his personal needs, nothing else!!Making his own invented rules in avoiding PACMAN in the ring!!COWARD, COWARD!!!

Mayweather is a convicted drug smuggler, serving over

three years of a five year federal drug trafficking

sentence. Mayweather and others were convicted of

smuggling cocaine into the US in detergent boxes from

1987-1992.

Mayweather Sr. was a former boxer of no great

accomplishment. He was a professional boxer for about

eleven years and never won or contented for a world

title. His only claim to fame is being stopped by a young

Sugar Ray Leonard and losing to Marlon Starling on two

occasions. He had a mediocre record of 29-6-1. Only six

of his thirty-six opponents even has a winning record.

His own brother, Roger has been quoted as saying this

about Mayweather Sr and his boxing career: "he lost to

bullshit fighters, he was never the fighter I was."

By the way, have you ever seen a more fake Floyd Jr. than the one in the press conference where he did not come up with cuss words? Can anything be more un-Mayweather-like than the non-use of gutter language?

The presser was so fake that the mild-mannered Ortiz actually had more cuss words than Floyd Jr, and it was Floyd who brought his children as props.

Mayweather was never about the truth either.

This cowardly PEDs business has really shot through the roof.

The USADA is in the business of taking boxers to the cleaners, and not cleaning up sports. At USD50,000 a pop, and say, a thousand boxers tested a year, USADA earns USD50 million where there was none before. No wonder that they stuck like monkeys on the back of Floyd Jr., the "drug crusader".

The USADA never had prior FORMAL and WRITTEN testing methodologies specific to the cleaning the sport of boxing. It doesn't even have protocols for ABSOLUTE fair testing of boxers: e.g., taking blood samples ON VIDEOS, and testing both boxers at the same time of the same day.

Taking samples of blood in the arms for runners make sense since it is the legs that take the brutal forces in running sports. For boxers however, it is criminally negligent to take blood samples from the arms, since it is the arms that take and deliver punishment in boxing. USADA stupidly, stupidly takes blood from the arms of boxers today. For an Olympic-tester, it doesn't even put down in WRITTEN GUARANTEES THAT IT WILL FAIRLY TEST BOTH AMERICANS AND FOREIGNERS. YOU CAN JUST IMAGINE SENDING AFRICAN-AMERICAN NURSES TO TAKE BLOOD SAMPLES WHEN AFRICAN-AMERICANS ARE INVOLVED.

THERE IS NOTHING FOR MANNY TO FEAR TESTING AS FLOYD ACTUALLY LOST IN THE ONE TIME THAT HE WAS FORCED TO BE CLEAN -- IN THE OLYMPICS. HE LOST THAT WAS WHY HE STILL CLAIMS THAT EVERYONE CHEATS IN THE OLYMPICS AND OTHER SPORTS. But Floyd Jr still has to pay Manny for maligning him; unfortunately, this boxer is more willing to kick the US justice system -- feared by just about all countries -- in the groin because he keeps earning millions of dollars for con jobs and he can afford con lawyers.

Let's not forget the continuing lies from Floyd Jr.

He fights a leftie supposedly in preparation for Pacquiao, when he was actually preparing for Berto. Like Berto, this "vicious" Ortiz has also been prone to viciously being knocked down, and that's why Mayweather the businessman likes his odds.

DRAWING BLOOD FROM THE ARMS PUNISHES POWER PUNCHERS LIKE PACQUIAO MUCH MORE THAN TURTLE BOXERS LIKE MAYWEATHER. WORSE, EVEN TAKING BLOOD FROM LEGS ALSO DISADVANTAGE PACQUIAO AS HE LAUNCHES HIS POWER PUNCHES FROM THE LEGS AND NOT HIS ABDOMINAL MUSCLES. Mayweather the cheat knows this dirty little secret. Needle holes ARE injuries, and the shockwaves to the arms from power punching traumatizes these wounds. Mayweather only punches for points -- PRO JUDGES SCORES MAYWEATHER PINPRICKS WHILE OLYMPIC JUDGES DON'T SCORE MAYWEATHER'S POWERPUFF GIRLIE PUNCHES -- so he does not have this problem.

VIC CONTE OF MONTE CRISTO CONTINUES TO HARP ON CHEATING AND HE IS RIGHT. VIC CONTE IS A COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT CHEATER AND THAT WAS WHY HE WAS CAPTURED. SURELY, MAYWEATHER CAN AFFORD A MUCH BETTER MASTER CHEATER THAN VIC CONTE.

The USA is so different from other countries that it is criminals like Conte and drug-addled mayweather daddies and uncles -- who now suddenly are boxing "experts" because Floyd Jr. has a perfect record against tomato cans, and despite their mediiocrity as boxers themselves -- are the ones cleaning up the sports.

IT WAS ALWAYS ABOUT CHEATING AND MONEY ONLY, AND NEVER ABOUT LETTING THE BEST MAN WIN. MAYWEATHER INSISTS THAT IT IS ONLY HIS OPPONENTS WHO CHEAT AND DON'T DESERVE THE MONEY.

When Pacman agreed to the demand of Mayweather for a drug testing that Mayweather wants to. What happened was, Mayweather made an excused by saying he will take a vacation and go back for fighting next year. If Mayweather really serious about facing Pacman, I think he should sign the contract first, stating that his only demand is an Olympic Style Drug testing none other than that against Pacman, period. He’s just scared to do that in the first place because Pacman will certainly agree with him. Thus, he can’t make other excuses anymore. Remember, the first time they clashed with each other, Mayweather demanded a 14 days cut-off date before the fight but Pacman thought Mayweather is not serious about his demand that’s why Pacman rejected it. They met for the second time, Pacman immediately agreed the 14 days cut-off as he thinks Mayweather will agree, as a matter of fact, Pacman was the first one to open up to Mayweather, but again Mayweather made another excused by telling the fans that he will be on vacation for one year. The question is, how this fight could happen that the world wants to see when Mayweather doesn’t want to happen at all.

Floyd Mayweaher, Jr. is like "Two-Faced" who said that Manny Pacquiao was on PED but when he could not back-up his allegations he backtracks and said that he never said that Manny Pacquiao was on steroids.. else, Floyd, Jr. must be a "Joker". he will say that he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao in front of his fans who becomes his rah-rah voice, but deep inside Floyd, Jr., he knows that he will try everything he can to avoid the fight with Manny Pacquiao.

I call it Cowardly -- what say you?

yah floyd mayweather, you are trying to sale ur fight against david ortiz.you always make excuse if somebody ask you to fight manny pacquiao.this one you said.take a test,60-40 percent favor on you,100 million dollars,i will fight manny.here's the truth you scared to manny pacquiao..you are gayweather.

f*ck floyd and his stupid fans! I hope Ortiz break pussy boy floyd's jaw!

Are you okay?
Maybe the CM crack whatever has clouded their heads.
If Maynever wants to clean up the sports,
he should start in his own backyard - - - his team!
Did you see those impossibly ripped bodyguards?
Let them do OSDT first.
Then his uncle and pops should do drug tests.
Then we'll believe him in his cause of cleaning up the sports!
