2012 NFL Mock Draft V4.0: Picks 8-15

While the first five or so picks of the 2012 NFL Draft have gotten the most fanfare as of late, it's actually the next series of selections that will really be full of intriguing storylines.

Will the Miami Dolphins finally get the quarterback they’ve desperately been pining for all offseason? Will the Carolina Panthers aim to boost their defense, or will adding some weapons for Cam Newton be the main priority?

How will the Mario Williams signing impact the Buffalo Bills’ selection? Will the Kansas City Chiefs pick based on need, or will they go for the best player available? What crazy move will the always unpredictable Philadelphia Eagles pull?

The team-based storylines are plentiful, obviously.

Beyond the teams, though, there are a number of fascinating player-specific storylines to keep an eye on. Will Ryan Tannehill actually go in the top 10? How far up the draft board will Dontari Poe’s ridiculous Combine showing really get him? Will Quinton Coples’ character concerns work to Melvin Ingram’s benefit?

Those are just some of the things worth watching, if for no other reason than the impact they’ll have on the lower picks.

With all that in mind, here is how we see picks Nos. 8-15 shaking out.
