2012 NFL Draft: Washington Redskins to Move Up for Robert Griffin III?

The Washington Redskins haven’t had a decent quarterback since…well, Brad Johnson? Hell, even when they were winning Super Bowls years ago it was with the likes of Doug Williams and Mark Rypien. Hardly Hall of Famers.

So, it comes as no shock that they would be looking at an upgrade at QB after telling us that they could with John Beck and/or Rex Grossman. And, according to Howard Eskin of NBC Philadelphia, the Redskins are indeed looking to move up to the No. 2 spot in the draft to get Robert Griffin III.

“I’m told by people within Redskins they are prepared to offer picks 1,2 and 3 this year, at least a 1 next year to move up to get RG3 at 2,” Eskin tweets.

It makes perfect sense for the Redskins and, if true, even more sense for the St. Louis Rams. The Rams already have Sam Bradford, but have a ton of holes all over the rest of the roster. That is, after all, how you earn the No. 2 pick in the draft…you stink.

We’ll see what happens on draft day, but we can’t see the Rams actually making a selection with that pick. Too many other teams need it.
