Yesterday, I plugged young basketball agent Terrance Doyle for the success he is having in signing marquee basketball players including Mississippi State Junior forward Arnett Moultrie. Today, I will spend some time on another young agent – Austin Walton of Walton Sports Management Group. Walton formerly interned for me back when I used to run Dynasty Athlete Representation, LLC (which is now Dynasty Dealings, LLC – a sports and entertainment consulting company).
While I decided to exit the agency business, Walton branched off on his own and has created quite the successful venture for himself and his colleagues at Walton Sports. The company’s biggest achievement to date was the signing of former College of Charleston and current L.A. Lakers guard, Andrew Goudelock. However, Walton and co. have their sights set on placing a new crop of players in the professional ranks.

One thing is certain: Austin Walton likes to recruit players with size. Even if none of the aforementioned players gets a chance in the NBA, Walton will stay busy trying to find the men opportunities overseas, where size (especially height) is often rewarded.
